Our May monthly AK Marine Corps JROTC Boosters Club meeting will be held on Wednesday evening, 05/03/2017 in Major Ratliff's classroom. Everyone is welcome and highly encouraged to attend this (and our other!) Booster Club meetings, as it is your support that helps make what we do possible.
Among the items on this month’s agenda will be nominations for the 2017-2018 executive board, which include:
Vice President: Conducts meetings in absence of President; reviews bank account reconciliations; assist committee chairs as needed.
Secretary: Takes meeting notes and prepares minutes for all meetings (Board and the all-inclusive club meetings) and presents them at the next meeting. Delivers the minutes to the Communications Chair so that they can then post to the website and email to all club members.
Treasurer: Prepares deposits and checks; maintains financial records, comparing actuals to budget; provides monthly reports; prepares tax filings
Hospitality: Assesses needs and plans food, beverages; setup and clean-up for all appropriate events
Fund Raising: Oversees major efforts of ongoing brick courtyard project and other fund raising initiatives throughout the year.
Communications: Maintains the website and prepares/sends email communications to the Board and the entire membership as required throughout the year.
Board positions require 1-2 meetings per month for most months of the school year. Also, these positions are a great way to stay on top of all the things regarding the JROTC program.
