The Ardrey Kell MCJROTC Rifle Team brought 2 teams to the Foothills Rifle Match at RS Central HS in Rutherfordton this past weekend. This was a fairly large tournament with some of the best teams from the NC and SC area participating including last years National Champions. There were 44 teams with a total of 186 athletes represented. The Ardrey Kell A Team placed 11th of 44 Teams in the tournament and the B Team placed 23rd of 44. Cadets with season high scores included veteran shooters Cadet Mitchell Roberts (69th of 186) and Cadet Will Cooper (72nd of 186), as well as first year shooter Cadet Damani Cornwell (98th of 186). Cadet Simon Krauthamer finished in 16th place overall. Congratulations to our cadets on a successful start to the season.

On Saturday November 5th, 2016 our Cadets had the honor of participating in the Annual Salute To Veteran's Parade in Uptown Charlotte.
The Ardrey Kell High School Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps underwent the Annual Commanding General's Inspection recently where the Cadets were evaluated on their personal appearance, knowledge of general military subjects and execution of military drill. In addition, they were inspected for their administrative and logistic accuracy.
